Death Occurs Suddenly Sunday At His Farm Home There
Melvin S. Arnold, prominent farmer in the Truro community and a life-long resident there, died Sunday, Feb. 2, at his farm home. He was 81 years of age.
Mr. Arnold was born in Madison county April 7, 1882, a son of Eli and Julia Creger Arnold. His entire life was spent on the same farm near Truro.
He was married Dec. 30, 1903, to Florence McKellip, and they recently celebrated their sixtieth wedding anniversary.
He was a member of the Truro Methodist church.
In addition to his wife, near surviving relatives are three nieces and three nephews.
Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Truro Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. James Nicholson and the Rev. Clarence Moore. Burial was to be made in the Young cemetery near Truro.
