LaVon Arnold, Murray

Services for LaVon Arnold, 59, of Murray, who died June 16 at her daughter's home in rural Winterset, will be held Thursday, June 20 at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of Christ in Murray with the Rev. Marty Burgus and Walt Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Murray Cemetery.

Born Sept. 25, 1925 near Ellston, Iowa, she was the daughter of Merrel and Loraine Thompson. She was a lifetime resident of Clarke and Madison counties and was a homemaker.

She was married to Everett Arnold in December of 1961 at Murray. She belonged to the Murray Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband; her mother of Winterset; a daughter, Mrs. Janice Raber and husband Dan of Winterset; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Delores Seath and husband Robert of Columbia, Mo.; stepsons, Rex Arnold and wife JoDell of Rogers, Ark., and John Arnold and wife Cindy of Albuquerque, N.M.; 13 grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Dalene and husband Bill Honnold of Winterset and Mrs. Merlene and husband Dale Dovenbarger of Lincoln, Neb.; brothers, Dean and wife Imelda Thompson of Philadelphia, Pa., and Paul and wife Leola Thompson of New Virginia.

She was preceded in death by her father and her first husband, Roland Beebe and a son, Steve.

Additional information was received about LaVon Arnold, who died June 16 and who obituary was in last week’s Madisonian. Other sons are Gary Beebe of Creston, Bruce Beebe of Winterset, Steve Beebe, deceased; and Janice Raber, a daughter, of Winterset.
