1969CARRIE ARNOLD OF WINTERSET DIES
Mrs. Carrie E. Arnold, a resident of Winterset for the last 20 years, died this Tuesday, April 1 at a Des Moines hospital. She was 76 years of age.
Mrs. Arnold was a native of Atlantic where she was born May 6, 1892, a daughter of Benjamin and Matelda Randolf. She was married in 1910 to Floyd Tucker, who died a few years later. Her second marriage, which occurred Jan. 21, 1920, was to Orin Arnold, who survives her.
She was a member of the First United Methodist church in Winterset, in which she was active in the Women's Society for Christian Service. She was also a member of the American Legion auxiliary, the World War I Veterans auxiliary, and the 60-Plus club.
In additon to her husband, she leaves two sons, Sterling Tucker of Indianola, and Bernard Tucker of St. Charles; two grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Sussie Reese.
Funeral services will be held this Friday at 2 p.m. from the First United Methodist church in Winterset, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Everett K. Burham. Burial will be made in the Creston cemetery.
