FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN CALIFORNIA

Mrs. Everett Angell of Downey, Calif., died Saturday, Jan. 28, at a hospital in Whittier. Death resulted from a malignancy. She was 49 years of age and had been ill for seven years.

Mr. angell was the former Phyllis Maxine Jordan, daughter of Grover and Ruth Clark Jordan. She was born April 27, 1911, and spent all of her early life here. While in high school, she moved with her parents to Mason City, where she graduated from high school and junior college.

She was married at Des Moines to Everett Angell. They moved to California more than 20 years ago.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Bradley, aged 14 years; a daughter, Sherry, aged 11 years; her father, Grover Jordan of Downey, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Harriett Robinson of Burbank, Calif.; and a brother, Capt. Clark Jordan of Albany, Georgia. Her mother preceded her in death.

Funeral services were to be held today (Wednesday) at Hillside chapel in Whittier, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery there.
