Ted Myles Andrews, 69, of Webster City, died of complications of diabetes July 21, 1997 at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services were July 25 at the McCalley Funeral Home in Adel. Burial followed at the Earlham Cemetery.
He was born in Genoa and lived for 36 years in the DeSoto area, 20 years in Allerton, and his early years were spent in Centerville. On December 6, 1947, he married Milly Andrews in Allerton. He was a farmer for most of his life and retired in 1992. He spent two years in the Merchant Marines during WW II. He was a member of the DeSoto Methodist Church, the Dallas County Cattleman's Association, the Dallas County Fair Board, and was an Iowa Charolais Association Board Member and also a past 4-H leader and youth committee member.
Surviving relatives include his wife; two daughters, Marla Oberembt of Brooklyn Center, Minn., and Lee Lenahan and husband Luke of Tokyo, Japan; one son, Myles Andrews and wife Linda of Benton City, Wash.; one brother, Larry Andrews and wife Shirley of Allerton; one sister, Sue Ann Freemyer and husband Jerry of Creston; and five grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Dallas County Fair Board.
