Edna Louise Andrews, 74, died of cancer Friday Jan. 9, 1998 in Tacoma, Washington.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene, Newberg, Oregon, Saturday, Jan. 24, 1998. Interment will be at the Valley View Memorial Park, Newberg. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist in Peru, Iowa, in lieu of flowers.

Edna Louise Andrews was born April 13, 1923, in Ringgold County, Iowa to James S. and M. Goldie Baker Butt. She attended schools in Union and Madison counties, graduating at Shannon City in 1940. In 1941, she moved to Oregon where she and her husband, Orville E. "Red" Andrews, operated the Campbell Hotel Dining Room and the Andrews Greyhound Kennel. After moving to Washington State she was employed at the State Library, Western State Hospital and the National Guard Headquarters. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Peru.

She is survived by five daughters, Bonnie Baker of Maple Valley, Wash., Connie of Kihei, Hawaii, Janet Scamahorn of Scappoose, Ore., Jennie of San Mateo, Calif., and Jill of Seattle, Wash.; one son, James of Tukwila, Wash.; two grandchildren, Arthur Andrews of Aberdeen, Wash., and Lauren Scamahorn of Vancouver, Wash.; two sisters Lena Howard and Anna Travis, both of Winterset; and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation arrangements are being handled by Attrell's Newberg Funeral Chapel.
