Clyde Anderson, Winterset

Clyde Alvin Anderson, 83, died July 5, 1993, at the Hospice Cavanaugh House in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held July 8 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Joseph Parish Hall, with Father Frank Palmer officiating. Visitation will be Wed. from 4 to 8 p.m. at the parish hall. Burial will be at Winterset Cemetery.

Mr. Anderson was born March 13, 1910 in Sapulpa, Okla. He married Eleanor Crowley June 11, 1932 in Perry. He was retired from a 20-year career with the U.S. Army. He moved to Winterset in 1974 from Olathe, Kan. A member of the V.F.W., he served in WW II and the Korean conflict.

He was preceded in death by a brother. Surviving relatives include his wife Eleanor of Winterset; a son, Dan Anderson and Wife Vicky of Winterset; a daughter, Patricia Thompson and husband John of Lakewood, Calif.; ten grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
