RALPH YOUNG, Macksburg

Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 9, 1981, at Watts-Lindsay Funeral Home in Lorimor for Ralph Young of Macksburg, who died at Madison County Memorial Hospital on Saturday, Nov. 7. He was 83 years old.

Born in Madison County on Sept. 10, 1898, he was the son of Hugh and Lillie Binns Young.

On Feb. 1, 1925, he married Berniece Kirkland of Lorimor in Adair County. Two sons and three daughters were born to this union.

Preceding Mr. Young in death were his parents; wife Bernice; two brothers; one sister, and one daughter, Lois.

Surviving are two daughters, Maxine Wheeler of Macksburg and Myrtle Bailey of Norwalk; two sons, Dale Young of Macksburg and Phil Young of Ankeny; four brothers, Clarence, Howard, and Earl Young of Winterset and Alfred Young of Earlham; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Rev. Robert Wood officiated at the funeral. Burial was at Moon Cemetery, Macksburg.
