MRS. SUSIE ALLEN DIES IN DES MOINES

Mrs. Susie V. Allen, formerly of Winterset, died Saturday, Dec. 3, in Des Moines following a stroke. She had been in failing health for five years. She was 62 years of age.

Mrs. Allen was born in Clarke county but lived in Winterset before moving to Des Moines nine years ago.

She leaves three sons, Clarence Allen of Jefferson, Chester Allen of Des Moines, Joe L. Allen of Marion; two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Howard of Swan and Mrs. Mary Hayden of Peru; two brothers, Merle A. Sanders of Sac City and Joe A. Sanders of Des Moines; and 19 grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday from Westover Funeral home in Des Moines, and burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
