Harry M. Gilman, son of Henry and Letha Ann Gilman, was born August 6th, 1883 at Somerset, Iowa and died May 7th, 1911 at his home in Earlham after a short illness following a paralytic stroke. He was married to Miss Mary Hanson, of Pocahontas, Iowa, September 24th, 1905 at Kansas City, Missouri, at which place they lived until October 12th, 1906, when they came to Earlham where they have since resided. To this union was born one son, Master Arthur Gilman, who, with the wife and mother and many other relatives and friends are left to mourn the loss. Mr. Gilman was a harness maker by trade and has been engaged in business in Earlham for some time. He was a member of the order of Woodmen who had charge of the funeral service. The service was conducted at the Friends church Monday afternoon by Rev. J. L. Johnson, pastor of the M. E. Church and the remains were taken to Somerset for burial.

Harry Gilman, who has been suffering from a paralytic stroke, died Sunday morning at 1 a.m. Funeral from the Friends’ church Monday at 1 p.m., conducted by Rev. Johnston and interment at Sommerset, Warren county, his former home. He leaves a wife, on child and a mother.

Note: Burial was made in the Palmyra cemetery, Warren county, Iowa.
