WALT FOREMAN Died Tuesday

Walter Foreman of Winterset, a life-time resident of Madison county, died this Tuesday, December 14, 1971, at the Horton Nursing home here. He was 78 years of age.

Mr. Foreman was born in this county May 28, 1893, a son of William L. and Liva Ann Young Foreman. He spent most of his active life in construction work for Madison county, building bridges and truck driving. In later years he served as caretaker at Lakeview Country club here.

During World War I he served in the U. S. armed forces, and was a member of the American Legion and the World War I veterans.

Mr. Foreman never married, and nearest surviving relatives are a brother, Frank Foreman of Winterset, and two sisters, Mrs. Marie Deardorff of Winterset and Mrs. Nettie Phelps of Spearman, Texas.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 1:30 p.m. from the Collins Funeral home here, with the Rev. Edward Zaiser officiating. Burial will be made in the Lorimor cemetery, with military honors at the graveside by Green-Rogers post of the American Legion.
