MYRTLE FOSTER Died Sunday

Mrs. Myrtle A. Foster of Winterset, one of Madison county's oldest resident, died Sunday, December 12, 1971, at Memorial hospital here. She was 94 years of age.

Mrs. Foster was born near Winterset March 26, 1877, and lived all but two years of her long life in this county.

She was the former Myrtle Groves, daughter of Joseph Z. and Alice Edmondson Groves. She was married here March 15, 1896, to Darwin W. Foster. He preceded her in death.

She was a member of the First Christian church of Winterset.

Surviving are a son, Earl L. Foster of Unionville, Missouri; nine step-grandchildren; and 10 step-great grandchildren. She also leaves a brother, Frank Groves of Lynnewood, California, and a sister, Mrs. Alice Kelley of Des Moines.

Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Collins Funeral home here, conducted by the Rev. Eldon E. Jandebeur, pastor of the First Christian church of Winterset. Burial was to be made in the Winterset cemetery.
