MRS. ALVA ALLEN DIED HERE SUNDAY

Mrs. Alva Allen, former resident of Douglas township died at a Winterset nursing home Sunday, July 8. She was 76 years of age.

She was the widow of Jake Allen, who preceded her in death. She leaves no children, and her nearest surviving relative is a sister, Mrs. Guy Jamison, and a brother, Roy Lane.

Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Fisher Funeral home in Van Meter, with burial in the Booneville cemetery.
