Funeral services were held this morning at Collins Funeral Home for Anna Beatrice Allen of Winterset, who died Monday at Madison County Memorial Hospital. She was 84 years old.
Born July 12, 1897 in Madison county, she was the daughter of Scott and Sarah Barrows Hildebrand.
On Oct. 13, 1920 she married Charlie W. Allen in Adel. Mr. Allen died in 1978.
Preceding her death were her parents; husband; a daughter, Margaret Anna Flesher; three brothers; one sister; and three grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons, Robert and Wayne Allen of Winterset; four daughters, Eldora Parker, Doris Olsen, Vivian Orr and Emogene Lehman, all of Winterset; 13 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Rev. Charles Updike officiated at the funeral service. Burial was in North McDonald Cemetery.

WINTERSET, IA. – Anna B. Allen, 84, longtime Winterset area resident, died Monday at the Madison County Memorial Hospital. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Collins Funeral Home, with burial in the North McDonald Cemetery.
Survivors include two sons, Robert and Charles, both of Winterset; four daughters, Eldora Parker, Doris Olsen, Vivian Orr and Emogene Lehman, all of Winterset; 13 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.
