Death of Mrs. A. B. McKinney

Mrs. Belle Rogers McKinney died Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock from pneumonia, at the age of 38 years. Her brief illness began a week before, seeming to be similar to rheumatic fever, pneumonia developing with fatal results.

Mrs. McKinney was a daughter of the late Elihu Rogers, spending all of her life in Winterset, with the exception of three years. She leaves besides Mr. McKinney, two little children Eva and Roger; his daughter, Zada by a previous marriage; and three children of her own by her first marriage; Mildred, Lyle and Ernest Likens. Her sudden death has brought great sorrow to her home and to her many friends. She is survived also by her mother, two sisters; Mrs. Mabel Smith and Mrs. Ruth Christensen; also three brothers; Leroy , A. R. and Ross.

Funeral services were held this afternoon, conducted by Rev. E. L. Hosier at the home.

EVA BELLE LIKENS MCKINNEY

Eva Belle McKinney was born at Winterset, Iowa June2, 1881 and passed to her reward on May 3, 1919 at her home in Winterset. She was married to F. A. Likens June 15, 1900. To this union was born three children, Mildred, Lyle and Earnest. Mr. Likens finished this life October 29, 1907.

Eva Belle Likens was united in marriage to A. B. McKinney on July 3, 1910. To this union were born two children, Roger and Eva. She has always lived a consistent life, being a devoted wife and loving mother and of high esteem among her relatives and acquaintances.

She leaves to mourn her loss a mother, Mrs. Henry Ballard of Winterset; three brothers, A. R. Rogers and Ross Rogers of Winterset and Roy of Macksburg; and two sisters, Mrs. Joseph Smith and Mrs. Charles Christensen of Winterset, and five children and three step children and a husband, and other relatives and friends.
