Worth H. Deets, 85, of Perry, died Aug. 2, 1994 at the Rowley Memorial Masonic Home in Perry. Funeral services were held at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset Aug. 6, 1994 with the Rev. Don Frank officiating. Masonic services were performed. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.
He was born Sept. 22, 1908 in Warren County to Charles Edward and Laura (Buchanan) Deets. He married Mildred Young in Fort Des Moines Hotel in Des Moines on September 9, 1925. He was a retired farmer and a factory worker from John Deere in Ankeny. He lived most of his life in Madison County, moving to Perry in 1990. He was a member of the Immanuel Methodist Church in Des Moines; the Masonic Lodge (Home Lodge) in Des Moines; the Oddfellows Lodge in Earlham; and the White Shrine Lodge in Des Moines.
He was preceded in death by his wife; one brother; and one sister.
Surviving relatives include two sons, William Deets and wife Jacqueline of Perry, and W. Richard Deets and wife Eilene of Orange City; eight grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
