EMIL STEVENS Rites Held Friday

Funeral services for Emil E. (Stub) Stevens were held last Friday, August 5, at 10 a.m., from Collins Funeral Home here.

Mr. Stevens died August 1, 1977, at Winona, Mississippi, where he had made his home in recent years. He was 71 years of age.

Mr. Stevens was born in Madison County on August 13, 1905. He had a long career of military duty, serving during World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion and V.F.W.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth of Winona, Mississippi; four sons, Harry and Eldon of Winterset, Larry of Des Moines and Jack of Kansas City, Missouri; two daughters, Marilyn Gentry of Red Oak, Iowa and Mrs. Carl Rau of Baltimore, Maryland; 18 grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Mildred Mapes of Winterset.

Officiating at the funeral service was Dr. Paul Hann. Burial was in King Cemetery in Scott township.
