Edna L. Algreen, 77, of Winterset, died of a heart ailment March 30, 1997 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. April 3, 1997 at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. Pastor Bobby Dickerson will officiate the services and burial will be at the Greenfield Cemetery. Visitation will be today, Wednesday, April 2 from noon until 8 p.m. at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. Family will receive friends from 6:30 until 8 p.m.
She was born in Milo on June 5, 1919 to Albert and Lucretia (Dollison) Allsup. She married Keith W. Algreen on July 20, 1938 in Winterset. She was a homemaker and had lived in Winterset since 1976 and in Madison County all her married life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; three sisters; and two grandsons.
Surviving relatives include her husband of Winterset; two sons, Dick Algreen and wife Doris of Albia and Bob Algreen of Panola, Texas; one daughter, Shirley Kirk and husband Frank of New Virginia; one brother, Ernie Allsup of Stuart; one sister, Berneice Smith of Colfax; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
