Stacey "Buffy" Alexander, Winterset

Stacey was the youngest of seven brothers and sisters, Greg, Jeff, Danny, Julie, David and Jill.

She was born Dec. 22, 1965, in Winterset to Myles Walker and Margie (Algreen) Alexander. "Buffy" as she was nicknamed at age 2 had a great zest for life, a beautiful smile and a hearty laugh.

She was a 1984 graduate of Winterset High School. After high school, Stacey graduated from the Iowa School of Barbering and Hairstyling in 1985 and in 1986 moved to the Denver, Colo. area.

Following her car accident on Feb. 10, 1990, Stacey moved to the Madrid Home in Madrid, Iowa, where she touched the hearts of many wonderful healthcare givers.

On Tuesday, Nov. 17, 1998, Buffy finally was given peace.

The family welcomes friends to remember Buf's life with music and memories from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20 at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her father, Myles Walker Alexander; grandparents, Bruce and Fern Algreen; and grandfather, Alvin Alexander.

Buffy is survived by her mother, Margie Alexander of Winterset; two sisters, Julie Alexander Breda of Lake Charles, La., and Jill Alexander of Kansas City, Mo.; four brothers, Greg (wife Cinde) and Dan (wife Gayle) both of Winterset, Jeff of La Crosse, Wis., and David (wife Vicki) of Aurora, Colo.; nine nieces and nephews; and one grandmother, Helene Alexander of Winterset.
