Myles Alexander, Winterset

Services for Myles Walker Alexander, 60, rural Winterset, who died Aug. 31 at his residence, were held Wednesday afternoon, Sept. 3, at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Clarence Lautt officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

Born at the old Winterset Hospital on May 9, 1926, he was the son of Alvin and Gertrude Niblo Alexander. On April 4, 1948, he was married to Margie Algreen at the Penn Center Methodist Church.

Mr. Alexander was a lifetime Winterset resident and a World War II Navy veteran. He was a member of the Presbyterian religion, the American Legion adn VFW, and a charter member of the Easter Seals Stroke Club of Des Moines.

Survivors include his mother; sons, Gregory and Danny, both of Winterset, David of Parker, Colo., and Jeffery of Wisconsin; daughters, Julie Ann Mann of Trinity, Texas, Jill of Kansas City, Mo., and Stacey of Denver, Colo.; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father
