Mary Alexander, Norwalk

Mary B. Alexander, 93, of Norwalk, died April 8, 1994 at the Regency Care Center in Norwalk. Funeral services were April 11, 1994 at Collins Funeral Home with the Pastor Edward Brown officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

She was born in Madison County on November 21, 1900 to John Wesley and Mary Viola (Hircock) Beem. She lived in Madison County until the age of 18 when she moved to Des Moines.

She was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church in Des Moines.

She was a secretary for Fairall & Co. advertising agency in Des Moines for 26 and one half years and retired from Wesley Day advertising agency after 16 and one half years as Treasurer of the Corporation and a member of the Board of Directors; and she was a member at large of the Fidelis Chapter of the American Business Women's Association.

She was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.

Surviving relatives include one son, Paul H. Alexander and wife Betty of Carlsbad, Calif.; one sister, Lorraine Jamison of Winterset; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be directed to St. John Lutheran Church in Des Moines.
