WORTH ALEXANDER DIED THURSDAY

Life-Long Resident of This County Was 73 Years Of Age

Worth Alexander of Winterset died at his home here Thursday, Aug. 24. Death came suddenly, following a heart attack. He was 73 years of age.

Mr. Alexander was born in Madison county, and spent his entire life here except for three years at Bellvue, Nebr. He was the son of G. B. and Electa Alexander.

His active years were spent in the auto repair and welding business in Winterset.

During World War I, he served overseas with the United States army, and in World War II was in defense work in Nebraska.

He was married in Winterset on April 4, 1925, to Elsie Danforth, who survives him. He also leaves a sister, Mrs. Melvin Jones of Winterset; a stepson, Hal Danforth; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday from the Collins Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. John C. Porath, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery, with military honors by Green-Rogers post of the American Legion.
