Funeral services for Madge Lucille McCauley were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 10, 1976, from the First Christian Church in Winterset.
Mrs McCauley died August 7, at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. She was 87 years of age.
The daughter of Theophilus and Effie Griffith Douglass, she was born December 18, 1888 at Washington, Ohio.
She was married to Frank L. McCauley on December 22, 1909 in Polk County, Iowa. Mr. McCauley died November 2, 1970.
A housewife, Mrs McCauley lived in Madison County the past 37 years. She and her husband moved from a farm in Jackson township to Winterset in 1958.
Surviving are a daughter, Jean (Mrs. Darrell) Daggett of rural Earlham; two grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and one sister, Jeanne Ashline of Des Moines.
She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and two sisters.
Officiating at the funeral this Tuesday was the Rev. Eldon E. Jandebeur. Burial was in the Winterset Cemetery.
