Lillian F. Aldrich, 98, of Stuart died March 14, 2005 at her home.
Graveside services were held Thursday, March 17, at South Oak Grove Cemetery in Stuart with Pastor George Thurman officiating.
Lillian Aldrich was born June 5, 1906 to Albert and Stella (Skinner) Wetrich of rural Stuart. She attended country school in Adair, Madison and Dallas counties, graduating from Dexter High School in 1925. She clerked at the general store in Dexter for a few years before marrying Lester Aldrich on April 17, 1927. Lillian and her husband farmed until their retirement in 1980, when they moved to Stuart. She was a member of the Earlham Presbyterian Church and actively involved with the First Congregational Church and Congregate Meal Site, both of Stuart.
She was preceded in death by her husband; six sister, Nona Combs, Ora Garnett, Lula Reeves, Leona Oakes, Mildred Hronek and Margaret Wetrich; and a brother, Glen Harold.
She is survived by three nieces, Kathleen Thomas of Windsor Heights, Shirley Marquardt of Normal, Ill., and Sherry Hronek of Omaha, Neb.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Stuart Congregate Meal Site.
Arrangements were handled by Kuhn Funeral Homes of Dexter, Earlham and Redfield.
