Hazel M. Alcorn, Winterset

Funeral services were held this Monday, June 13, from Collins Funeral home for Hazel Marie Alcorn of Winterset.

Mrs. Alcorn died June 9 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. She was 66 years of age.

A daughter of Fred and Nora Westerman Sirdoreus, she was born Nov. 13, 1921 at Dexter. She was married to Eugene E. Alcorn on Dec. 3, 1945 at Paris, Illinois.

A life-long resident of Madison County, Mrs. Alcorn was a Home Health Aide with the Earlham Care Program, and a member of Foursquare Gospel church.

She is survived by her husband, two sons, Larry and Donald both of Winterset; two daughters, Linda Davis of Des Moines and Donna Baker of Winterset; three brothers, Harold of Kansas City, Mo., Fred Jr. of Des Moines, and Roscoe of Norwalk; one sister, Edna Garrison of Winterset; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Michael; three brothers; and one sister.

Officiating at the funeral service was the Rev. Bob Epperson. Burial was in Winterset cemetery.
