Services for Glen Akin, 82, Winterset, who died June 15 at the Winterset Care Center North where he resided, were held Tuesday, June 17, at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Epperson officiating. Burial was at the Moon Cemetery in Macksburg.

Born in Madison County Dec. 27, 1903, he was the son of Theodore and Jennie Reed Akin. A retired farmer, he was married Aug. 25, 1928 at Bethany, Mo., to Anna Bell.

Mr. Akin was a lifetime county resident and a member of the Fellowship Church.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Robert of Ogden; a daughter Norma L. Brandenburg of Oregon, Wis.' a brother, Floyd L. Akin of Lorimor; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
