Vera L. Weide, Bellflower, Calif.

Services for Vera L. Weide, 84, Bellflower, Calif., who died Sept. 14 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, were held Tuesday, Sept. 19 at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Clarence Lautt officiating. Burial was at the Lorimor cemetery.

Born Aug. 17, 1905 near Lorimor in Union County, she was the daughter of Pinckney and Sarah Routh Neely and left Madison county in 1948 and resided in California. She was an owner of a health food store in California and was a former teacher in Madison County.

She was married to Wilbur Weide in California, where she was a member of the Religious Science Church and secretary of the Southern California Health Food Association.

Survivors include a sister, Florence Neely of Winterset; a step-daughter in California and many distant relatives.

Mrs. Weide was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers and five sisters.
