MRS. H. L. KITCHELL Died on Sunday

Mrs. Herbert L. Kitchell of Winterset, a life-time resident of Madison County, died Sunday, May 10, at Iowa Methodist hospital in Des Moines. She was 87 years of age.

Mrs. Kitchell was born in Douglas township May 2, 1883. She was the former Mary Eliza McDonald, daughter of William S. and Barbara Combs McDonald. She was married in Winterset April 26, 1905, to Herbert L. Kitchell, who survives her.

At various times Mrs. Kitchell had worked as a beautician, and as a bookkeeper.

She was a member of the First United Methodist church, and was active in the church circle and the Women's society of Christian Service. She was a past treasurer of the Order of Eastern Star.

Mrs. Kitchell was preceded in death by an infant daughter, and an infant son. In addition to her husband she leaves two sisters, Mrs. Corgie M. Bennett and Mrs. Edna F. Clark, both of Winterset.

Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from the First United Methodist church of Winterset, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Everett K. Burham. Burial was to be made in the Chase-McDonald cemetery.
