Michael D. Algreen

EARLHAM-A funeral for Michael Donald Algreen, 41, of Des Moines was held July 29, 1990 at the Earlham Friends Church. Burial was in the Earlham Cemetery.

The son of Don and Irma Algreen, he was born at Rockford, Ill. On March 9, 1949. He grew up on a farm near Pitzer until he was 10 years old and the family moved to Earlham. He graduated from Earlham High School in 1967, and enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1969, serving in Vietnam. He married Linda Armstrong in 1970. Since 1973, he had lived in Des Moines, where he was self-employed as a cab driver.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather and by a brother.

Survivors include a son, Robert; his parents, Don and Irma Algreen of Earlham; a sister, Kathy Algreen of Winterset; and his grandparents, Vern and Edith Algreen of Dexter and Florence Hanson of Des Moines.
