Cecil turley

WINTERSET-Cecil Turley, 78, of Winterset died of a heart ailment on July 31, 1994 at Altoona Manor at Altoona. A memorial service will be held at a later date, and the body has been donated to the University of Osteopathic Medical and Health Sciences.

He was born in Huntsville Township, Ill. And had lived at Winterset for five years. Prior to that, he lived most of his life in the Earlham and Adel areas. He was retired from the Iowa Department of Transportation. A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 8061 in Adel and the Adel American Legion.

Survivors include his wife, Alberta; a daughter, Patty Herring of Barrow, Neb.; five sons, Charles Turley of Des Moines, James S.Turley of Eldridge, Michael Turley of Santa Rosa, Calif., Stephen Turley of Fort Rucher, Ala. and Douglas Turley of St. Paul, Minn.; and three grandchildren.
