Illa Fay Sieck

PERRY-A funeral for Ila Fay Sieck, 74, of Perry was held Sept. 6, 1994 at the First United Methodist church at Perry, with burial following at Perry, with burial following at Violet Hill Cemetery, also at Perry. Mrs. Sieck died of Parkinism on Sept. 1 at the Rowley Memorial Masonic Home at Perry.

The daughter of Ruben and Pearl Ethel McClusky Stille, she was born Nov. 3. 1919 in Mills County near Glenwood. She graduated from high school in the Silver City area in 1938. She married the Rev. Walter L. Sieck on Aug. 21, 1941.

Before retiring to Perry in 1983, they lived at Knoxville, Muscatine, North English, Dunlap, Des Moines, Sigourney, Grand Junction, West Bend, Ackley and Earlham. Mrs. Sieck moved to the Rowley Memorial Masonic Home in July 1993.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was very active in the United Methodist Women. She spearheaded the construction of a community prayer tower at the First United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by two sisters, Leona Henderson and Pearl Young.

Survivors include her husband, the Rev. Walter Sieck of Perry; three sons, Dean Sieck of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, Allan Sieck of Rippey and Joseph Winterseick of Vashon Island, Wash.; three daughters, Gloria Lepke of Perry, Angela Strutz of Cedar Rapids and Rosemary Stetzel of Algona; four brothers, Lee Stille of Bartlett, Neb., Walter (Shorty) Stille of Malvern, Albert Stille of Red Oak and Ernest Stille of Ault, Colo.; two sisters, Bedah Anna Huff of Red Oak and Betty Hansen of Glenwood; and 16 grandchildren.
