Alma Fosher Death Thursday

Alma J. Fosher, born May 23, 1898, in Madison County, the daughter of Henry Rice Johnston and Sharah Lilly Nickerson, died Thursday, July 3, 1975, in Villa West Care Center. She was 77 years of age, a resident of Madison County her entire life.

Mrs. Fosher was married to Hubert C. Fosher on April 27, 1918, in Winterset. She was a housewife and held membership with Crown Rebekah Lodge and the Pythian Sisters. Her church affiliation was with the First Baptist Church of Winterset.

Surviving Mrs. Fosher are her husband and two daughters: Betty (Mrs. Earle) Canfield of Des Moines, and Martha (Mrs. Jack) Hammons of rural Lorimor.

Also surviving her are four grandchildren, one great grandchild and one brother, Howard Johnston of St. Louis, Missouri.

Mrs. Fosher was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, a sister and one grandchild.

Funeral services for Alma Fosher were conducted Saturday, July 6 at 10:30 a.m. from the First Baptist Church of Winterset, the Rev. Phill (unreadable) officiating. Burial was made at the Winterset Cemetery.
