Graveside services for Carrie Addy, 98, Winterset, who died at the Madison County Memorial Hospital Jan. 26, were held on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at the North McDonald Cemetery with the Rev. Bob Epperson officiating.

Mrs. Addy was a resident of the Bethesda Care Center and spent most of her lifetime in Madison County. She was born in Dallas County on Jan. 6, 1888, the daughter of Joseph and Hulda Neal Lanning Manders. She was a member of the Methodist Church and lived in the Truro and Peru areas until moving to Winterset in 1950.

She was married Finley Carson Addy at Van Meter on Oct. 17, 1906.

Survivors include daughters, Flossie Pritchard and Corsie Courtney, both of Lorimor; a sister Eva Rogan of Winterset; seven grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two children, two brothers and two sisters.
