January 12, 1977Carl E. Adams Dies At 57
Carl E. Adams, 57, office manager of the Farmers Cooperative Company of Creston, died at Greater Community Hospital Thursday, December 30.
His funeral was held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the First Christian Church in Creston, Rev. Lester Pearson, the pastor officiated. Burial was in Graceland cemetery.
Carl E. Adams was born at Winterset, October 22, 1919. He was the son of Clyde and Lela Martha Rogers Adams. He moved to Creston in 1929 and had lived there since that time.
He was married December 27, 1942, to Elda Marie Koch.
Mr. Adams is survived by his widow, a daughter, Mrs. Dwaine (Judy) Crigger of Springfield, Mo.; a grandson; his mother, Mrs. Clyde Adams of Creston; and two sisters, Mrs. Vincent (Eileen) McCann and Mrs. Wayne (Shirley) Snodgrass, both of Creston. He was preceded in death by his father.
Mr. Adams had been a member of the Creston City Council and served on the Creston Planning and Zoning Commission. He was a member of the Creston Kiwanis Club.
He was a member of the First Christian Church.
Among those attending the services were Mrs. Betty Braman, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Abrhams, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Wilson and Mrs. Marie Crawford of Ft. Dodge. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Banks and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Banks called at the Adams home in Creston on Sunday.
