Charles Adams, Winterset

Charles Adams, 81, Winterset, died January 28, 1994 at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Memorial services will be Thurs. Feb. 3, 1994 at 1:30 at the New Hope Christian Union Church. The Pastor Rod Whitmire, Pastor Joe Klipping and Pastor Greg Sharp will be officiating the ceremony. Ashes will be buried in the Winterset Cemetery at a later date.

He was born August 15, 1912 in Sidney, Illinois to Edward and Lydia (Stockwell) Adams. He married Ruth Burkhead on June 8, 1963 in Lorimor.

He was a retired auto mechanic and had lived in Winterset since 1930. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps during W.W. II.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Surviving relatives include his wife; one son, Carl Adams of Winterset; one sister, Pearla Jones of Winterset and two grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to the New Hope Christian Union Church.
