Mary K. Wright

EARLHAM-Funeral services for Mary K. Wright, 78, were held Dec. 24, 1994 at First Baptist Church Winterset with burial at Earlham Cemetery. She died Dec. 22, of congestive heart failure at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

The daughter of William and Abbie Dill McMenamin, she was born Sept. 12, 1916. She lived in Dexter most of her life and graduated from the Dexter High School. On April 26, 1938 she was united in marriage to Howard C. Wright in Adel.

Mrs. Wright was a housewife and mother and lived on a farm west of Earlham until 1971 when she and Howard moved to Earlham. She was affiliated with the Earlham Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three brothers and one sister. Survivors include her daughter, Dixie Smith of rural Earlham; three sisters, Mildred Mount of Des Moines, Betty Lenocker of Dexter and Doris Lynch of Springfield, Mo.; two brothers, Jim McMenamin of Dexter and Frank McMenamin of Ankeny; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
