Earlham, IowaEARLHAM-Funeral services for Reginald “Reg” Lee Valdez, 44, of Earlham were held Dec. 18, 1994 at the United Methodist Church in Earlham with interment at Earlham Cemetery. Mr. Valdez died of heart failure Dec. 15 at home.
The son of Benjamin Valdez and Norma Koon Mitchell, he was born Oct. 4, 1950 in Salem, Ore. He graduated from high school in Ogden, Utah in 1968 and attended college one year before moving to Wenatchee, Wash. In 1974 he moved to Des Moines. He worked for the city of West Des Moines, Budget Marketing and the Iowa Department of Transportation. Most recently he was maintenance supervisor at the D.O.T. in DeSoto.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Saxton Valdez of Earlham; his mother; two twin brothers, Dennis Valdez of Leavenworth, Wash. and Donavon Valdez of East Wenatchee, Wash.
