Elza Waugh, Winterset

Elza A. Waugh, 91, of Winterset, died Aug. 10, 1994 at the Care Center North in Winterset. Funeral services were held Aug. 13, 1994 at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with Pastor Ted Morelock officiating. Burial was at the Lorimor Cemetery.

He was born Aug. 11, 1902 in Madison County to Cary Gilbert and Mary (Simpson) Waugh. He married Ruth L. Frey on Nov. 13, 1926 in Winterset. He was a retired farmer and a lifetime resident of the county. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by one infant brother; one half-brother; and one sister.

Surviving relatives include his wife; two sons, Carl Lee Waugh and wife Ruby of Panora, and Richard Claire Waugh and wife Jean of Earlham; one sister, Harriet Williams of Lorimor; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
