James Scrivner Died At Age 67

James Thomas Scrivner, a lifetime resident of rural St. Charles, died Dec. 23 at Des Moines General Hospital.

Mr. Scrivner was born June 18, 1913, son of Albert and Blanche Young Scrivner. He was a life-time member of the St. Charles Methodist Church and worked for the Iowa State Highway Commission, which he retired from in 1975.

Mr. Scrivner was married to Yvonne Colleen Moore on Jan. 10, 1947, in Troy, Kansas.

Mr. Scrivner was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife and three daughters; Shirley Combs of Martensdale; Pamela Sue Exline of Des Moines; and Margaret Marie Tuttle of St. Charles; one sister, Cynthia Storck of Van Meter; a niece, Eleanor Sanders of Van Meter; and eight grandchildren.

Services were held Dec. 26 at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset, with Pastor Douglas P. Domokos officiating.

Burial was at Blair Chapel Cemetery.
