BERNARD HOLLINGSWORTH, Winterset

Funeral services for Bernard Hollingsworth, 78, were held Sat., April 27, 1991 at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Clarence Lautt and Rev. Zona Lautt officiating. Mr. Hollingsworth died April 24 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines.

A lifetime Winterset resident, he was born here March 4, 1913, the son of Dennis Evander and Bessie Jeannette (Lorimor) Hollingsworth. He married Leta Marie Cumings January 1, 1941. A farmer, he was a member of the Farm Bureau, Farmers Coop, Patterson United Methodist Church, Winterset and Patterson School Board, and the I.O.O.F. Lodge of Winterset.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.

Among survivors are his wife; two sons, Mark Bernard and Paul Jay Hollingsworth, both of Winterset; a daughter, Barbara Kay Weiss of New Orleans, La.; three sisters, Helen Jackson and Evlyn Conley, both of Winterset, and Mary Norberg of Stillwater, Kan.; and six grandchildren.

Burial was at Peru Cemetery.
