Kirkpatrick Services Held

Lorena R. Kirkpatrick, 67, the wife of Kenneth Kirkpatrick, died Thursday, October 13, 1977, at Madison County Memorial Hospital. She was 67 years of age, a resident of Winterset.

Mrs. Kirkpatrick was born September 3, 1910, in Benton County, Iowa, the daughter of William and Josephine Dulin Fry. She was married to Kenneth Kirkpatrick on December 24, 1938 in Corning.

A housewife, affiliated with the Methodist Church, Mrs. Kirkpatrick was a resident of this county for 32 years. She was a member of the Pythian Sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth; one son, William of Winterset; two daughters, Sharon Sample of Des Moines and Jean Kirkpatrick of Winterset; and three grandchildren.

Also surviving are four sisters; Wilma Child of Des Moines, Alice Binder of Ames, Mable Tyler of Vinton and Clara Kennedy of New Virginia.

Mrs. Kirkpatrick was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, October 15 at 1:30 p.m. from First United Methodist Church of Winterset. Rev. Byron Ayers officiating. Burial was made at the Winterset Cemetery.
