Maxine L. Shreves, 76, of St. Charles, died March 15, 1994 of Alzheimer's disease at the Good Samaritan Center in Indianola. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 17, 1994 at the St. Charles Parish Church with Pastor Ed Poston officiating. Burial will be at the St. Charles Cemetery. Visitation will be today, Wednesday, after 10 a.m. at the funeral home in Truro, with family visitation 6-8 p.m.
She was born September 23, 1917 in Eagle Grove to Frank A. and Marie (Murray) Neuman. She married Arthur S. Shreves July 5, 1940 in Los Angeles, Calif. She was a postal clerk at St. Charles post office and lived in St. Charles most of her life. She was a member of the Women's Society at the St. Charles Parish Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.
Surviving relatives include her husband; one daughter, Jill Chambers and husband Lynn of St. Charles; one grandson, Kyle Chambers of St. Charles; and two brothers, Richard Neuman of West Des Moines, and Jerry Perkins of Commerce.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the St. Charles Parish Church.
