IRA CALLISON Services Monday

Funeral services for Ira Callison of Winterset were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, August 13, at Collins Funeral Home. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery with Rev. Robert McDonald of Des Moines officiating. Mr. Callison died Saturday, August 11, 1979, at Madison County Memorial Hospital at the age of 77.

Born on August 1, 1902 in Madison County, he was the son of Alpha and Linda Bertholf Callison. He was married to Gladys Beem on September 26, 1931 in Winterset, who survives him. A lifelong resident, Mr. Callison was a member of Early Chapel Christian Church and the Madison County Farm Bureau.

Also surviving is a brother, Dale Callison of Winterset. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Elma Leeper.
