RAY HARRISON

Ray Harrison of Ottumwa passed away suddenly of a heart attack in his home January 9, 1973. He was born in the Earlham Community and grew to manhood here. He was 80 years of age at the time of his death.

His parents were William and Rebecca Wilson Harrison.

Ray visited relatives and his friends in his old home town quite often. The most recent visit was in November when he and his wife enjoyed the Over 80 Social with Frank and Loreah Wilson. They had planned to return for the January social but icy roads prevented them from coming.

Funeral services were held in Ottumwa on January 12. Ray is survived by his wife, Gertie, and two brothers, Ross of Omaha, Nebraska and Bruce of Camp Verde, Arizona.

Those who attended the services from this community included Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wilson, Marion and Hugh Wilson, Helen Ludwick and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Koboldt. The Wilsons were cousins of Ray.

On the way home from Ottumwa, the Wilsons drove to Moravia to visit their cousin, Mrs. Ira Boyer, who is quite ill at this time.
