Emily Josephine Price, born in Madison township of Madison county, Iowa, was called home to rest by her Lord and God in her home on Sunday, February 9, suddenly and unexpectedly. She was 71 years of age.
She was a lifetime resident of Madison county, Iowa. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian church of Winterset, the D.A.R., the Society of the Mayflower Descendants of Iowa and the Earlham Garden Club. For many years she served as a Deaconess in the Earlham Presbyterian church.
On March 12, 1917 she was united in marriage to William F. Price in Madison township, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by one son, two brothers and four sisters.
She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, one son, William C. Price of Earlham; three grandchildren, Mrs. Graham Turbiville of California, Nancy Price, a student at Iowa State University, and Nicholas Price at home; three sisters, Mrs. Guy M. Hays of Earlham, Mrs. W. E. Hadley of Glendale, California and Mrs. Arthur Nickels of Lyons, Kansas, together with a host of neighbors and friends.
