Beverly Ann Gardner, 67, of Iowa City died of pancreatic cancer May 31, 2000, at her home.

Funeral services were held Friday, June 2, at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola with the Rev. Phil Coe officiating. Burial was at Maple Hill Cemetery, Osceola.

Beverly Gardner was born Jan. 27, 1933, to John and Fern (Mason) DeVore of Weldon. She was a graduate of Clarke Community School in Osceola. She married Raymond Gardner on Sept. 20, 1951 in Osceola. Beverly had been employed as a clerk at Winterset City Hall, retiring in 1993. She had recently moved to Iowa City from Winterset, where she had resided since 1978. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Osceola.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Mike Gardner (wife Kayleen) of Coralville and Gary Gardner (wife Carol) of West Branch; a brother, Doyce DeVore (wife Barb) of Osceola; and two grandchildren.
