E. D. SCHOENENBERGER OF WINTERSET DIES

Life-Long Resident of This County Was 82 Years of Age

Edward D. Schoenenberger, life-long resident of Madison county and member of a well known family here, died Saturday, Jan. 17, at Memorial hospital in Winterset, after several years of failing health. He was 82 years of age.

Mr. Schoenenberger had spent his active life in farming, but had been retired in recent years.

He wa born in Madison county July 1, 1870. On Feb. 22, 1893, he was married to Margaret Harrell. Her death occurred in 1948.

Surviving are two children, Ree Schoenenberger of Humboldt, Minn., and Mrs. Blanche Tilp of Des Moines; and a grandson.

Funeral services were held from the Richards Funeral home Monday, conducted by the Rev. Glenn Parrott, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
