Ferd J. Jungman, Van Meter

Services for Ferd J. Jungman, 77, of Van Meter, who died of a heart ailment Sunday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, were held at 10:30 a.m.; Wednesday at the United Methodist Church in Van Meter. Burial was in the Van Meter Cemetery.

Mr. Jungman lived in the Van Meter area all of his life and was retired. He was a member of Van Meter United Methodist Church and National Ostomy Association.

Survivors include his wife, Ethel; two sons, Jerry of Stuart and Chuck of Van Meter; five sisters, Sharon Stover of Norwalk, Lucille Hougham of Booneville, Esther Halverson of Nevada, Pat Guessford of Des Moines and Ruth Myer of Morton, Ill.; nine brothers, Paul of Kansas City, Kan., Lloyd and Ernie, both of Des Moines, Elmer and Leo, both of Booneville, Marvin of Van Meter, Harold Youngman of Adel, Raymond of DeSoto; and Bob of El Cajon, Calif.; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The family suggests that any memorial contributions be made to the Des Moines chapter of the National Ostomy Association.
