Burl King was born in Adair county, Iowa, August 20, 1895 and died April 13, 1917, age 21 years, 7 months and 23 days. He was left an orphan at an early age. He attended Palmer college at Albany, Mo., one year. He was married to Opal Jessup on the 28th day of October, 1916, at Albany, Mo. He leaves to mourn their loss one sister, Mrs. Bertha Clark of Orient, Iowa and two half sisters, Hazel and Mabel King and numerous other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held in the Christian church. Music was furnished by the choir from the Church of Christ. Sermon from Isaiah 6:4-6 conducted by Adden D. Mann, her pastor, in the presence of nearly 1,000 people.
