Mabel Lucile Henkle Piatt, (93) died October 4, 1993. Services were October 6, 1993 at the Early Chapel Church in rural Earlham, officiated by Pastor David Clark. Burial was at the Penn Center Cemetery in rural Earlham.
Mabel was born December 12, 1899 to Simeon and Bertha Oldham Henkle in rural Earlham.
She married Lawrence J. Piatt on August 21, 1918 in Greenfield. She was a member of the Early Chapel Church and was active in girls 4-H work as a committee woman. She was a member of the Dexter and Earlham Garden Club; Golden Agers and the Sorosis Club at Earlham.
She was preceded in death by three brothers; one sister; two grandsons and two great grandsons.
Surviving relatives are two sons, Marlin and wife Phyllis of Sun City, Ariz., and Warren and wife Carol of Dexter; one daughter, Connie Allen and husband Curtis of Des Moines; 10 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and one great great-grandson.
